Did anyone else spot this car being driven by Mia Farrow in the 1978 film shown yesterday evening on BBC 2 ?

There was about 10 seconds of the MG appearing very clearly and being driven rather roughly in a staged near-accident so much so that I expect a stunt double was used for the off-road bit.

Apologies for the inverted pic. Have tried editing it to rotate 180 degrees but it reverts as soon as I upload to the forum. Nick ?

I saw it. Showing a woman; especially a pretty young one, snogging at the wheel, while driving fast in an MG sports car was typical of the attitudes towards women drivers at the time.

My toes curled up when in a shot soon afterwards, Simon MacCorkindale got out of the passenger seat by pulling himself up by the windscreen. It didn't break it on that occasion.

Yes, this was my grandad Brian’s MG, if I remember correctly he sold it to someone in Berlin in the 2000s, sadly he has passed away now so I don’t know much about the car apart from a few things he left behind e.g logbooks. He loved his MGs and most likely was well known in the MG community, in fact I have the letter from the film production company (Mersham Productions) agreeing to hire his J2.
