An interesting picture of LO617 ,AXW363 at Brooklands in 1936. It was originally a continental coupe but here you see it as a drophead coupe,with owner Bill Ward standing behind it.It may even show the shortened chassis ? Soon after this it must have been stripped and sent off to Australia as a race car.

If the chassis was shortened, i.e. the wheelbase reduced, then it would be shorter than an L2 which had the same wheelbase as the L1. The only thing shorter about the L2 was that the chassis side rails didn’t extend beyond the rear cross tube the way they did on the L1.
