I recently came across a small book "Specials" by John Bolster first published in September 1949.
My copy is the second addition from May 1950.

Inside is a photo of Ken Wharton driving a J4 engined special at Prescott.
There is a description of the car as well.

This may be of interest to the owner of the car or engine if they still exist.
