I wonder what happened to all the old J rods? Binned? Perhaps Ford conrods are now the only economic option.

You would think Ian there should be bucket loads of old J rods around. I have given them away in the past. I have also been given them when looking for a set for my F type.

I should have said that the kind I want are those with floating gudgeon pins not the clamp type. It's still looking like Ford are the best bet.
