Not sure whether this will fit an "M"? If it does, then count me in too |

A potential solution for fixing the radiator muff - you've probably seen this before - 1933 Monte Carlo rally:

Hi Rob, Will do ... not sure if the M has the same radiator shell as the J/P but hopefully a knowledgeable forum member might enlighten us, meanwhile I'll see if I can find out.
I think the image you posted may be a 'cosy' rather than a 'muff' ... and a more complicated beast to make!
Thanks,

Hi Rob, Apparently the M-Type radiator is about 1" shorter than the J/P, although the widths are the same. If you would like to supply an accurate template of the M then my lady is happy to make you one to fit. Thanks,

A quick update ... the first of these are now ready and we are taking orders
We will be fitting 6mm I.D. eyelets and positioning them approximately as per the original “Midland” radiator muff illustrated, unless requested to do otherwise.
Possibly the original design was intended to fit cars with the period honeycomb radiator without a grille, and fixings were simple through or hook bolts with a securing nut and a thumbscrew to hold the muff. Things are a bit more complicated these days with the addition of false honeycomb and modern cores behind aluminium mesh or slatted grilles, all of which makes a universal one-fits-all fixing method nigh-on impossible. There are some older grille type fixings out there such as the ‘Kingsbury Wintershields’ type, but these are hard to come by; maybe keep an eye out at autojumbles! Commissioning a small batches of fixings as per original or to suit all current permutations is really not viable.
With this in mind, we will be supplying the muffs with a flexible fixing system that will hopefully cater for most variations, and of the type commonly used these days to attach aftermarket cooling fans to radiators; a 200mm long slim ‘toothed’ rod, retaining clips and pads as seen here: https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/pitking-products-universal-fan-fitting-kit-pkpfkp01/
Although not ideal and not very ‘period’, hopefully these should satisfy most, at least in the short term, and with a little care may be reused the following season. Most owners of Triple-Ms are resourceful and practical types and may wish to adapt or replace with alternative fixings to suit their particular radiator/grille combo.
If you are happy to proceed on this basis then please let me know and we can take your order, as we will be ready to post out the first few during the first couple of weeks of January.
Many thanks,

The first batch of radiator muffs have now been despatched and should be landing on doormats around the country, just as winter seems to have arrived!
Still taking orders for the J&P-Types that we have a pattern for, but equally happy to make one-offs for other MMM-Types if you can supply a template.
Many thanks to all those who have ordered so far!

Hi Robin, I have not had the opportunity to try fitment to a PB with a slatted grille, but happy to position fixing eyelets to suit if you can provide a template ...... I'll email you directly.
Thanks!
