In fact the spotlight is clearly in different positions in the two photos you posted, Lew. But it gives credence to the notion that the TD everyone is clustered around is Archie's as it clearly has a very similar, and unusual light.
Thank you for your question but no. Tom is restoring NA 0540 which has a well known history, having spent most of its time in Australia and New Zealand and is now being restored in the USA. This thread on NJ 8074 is an attempt to learn something / anything about the pictured Airline which has no known history. To date we are unable to identify the chassis number for this car or any ownership history whatsoever.
Hi Kevin, My apologies for using hyperbole to emphasize how little we know about this car. I didn't mean to diminish the contribution you have made in identifying the first owner, Basil Gray.
