I’m sure there will be a full race report in due course. But have just looked at the official results to see that, in the 2nd race at Brands today, Oliver Richardson, in a standard M-Type, not only finished the race but did so ahead of 5 other cars, 2 of which were supercharged K3s!
I don’t think such a result has ever occurred previously in racing. Perhaps those of you who keep race records will check and see if it has ever happened before.
Certainly it puts Oliver in pole position for the FFF trophy this year. Well earned in my opinion.
blast I didn't realise this was on I would have brought my new to me J2 acquisition along I'm only down the blasted road aghhhh how annoying instead I went for a long drive to nowhere in particular and had a pub roasty I know where I'd rather have been and it wasn't eating nRoast dinner in a pub....LOL.....next time I'll be there
(I may not be a clever man but I know someone who is)
This proves again that one shouldn't rely on one set of results ! But it is probably best for Oliver R to explain his extraordinary performance . Went the day well ? Certainly , with good weather , fine company and occasionally excellent racing.
I take my hat off to Oliver Richardson! The M can be a bit scary driven fast. When I tried my luck at Brands Hatch I was pretty much petrified the entire time. But on one occasion I finished ahead of Martin Warners K and on another an MGA.
