It saddens me to say that my dad Berndt Aulin passed away last week. He is immensely missed by family and friends.
Dad had a passion for classic cars in general and MGs in particular all his life, and a lot of his social life was connected to the MG society in Sweden and beyond. Initially it was centered around T-types but since the late 90th he got involved in the Triple-M society through his L1 Magna Continental Coupe.
He drove his TB the last time a few days before he passed away, and the last conversation I had with him was about his TB-engine.
The Continental Coupe is just about ready, but sadly he did not get to fully finish the project. Me and my brother will finish the very few remaining details.

Sad news indeed. I have been following the progress of Berndts Continental Coupe for a number of years. Very happy that you carry on the good work. As you know these forums have a wealth of knowledge to help us all onwards.
RIP Berndt

I am saddened to read that Berndt has passed away.
I was in touch with Berndt from time to time as the meticulous rebuild of his very rare L1 Magna Continental Coupe progressed. He also sent in photos of the car.
My condolences to Peter and the family.

Sincere condolences to the family. Berndt and I were in touch on and off in the past 15 years or so with his enthusiasm shining through in every word he wrote and every time we met. A thoroughly kind and patient chap.
Rest in peace, Berndt.

Very sad news, indeed. Berndt exemplified the spirit of the Marque of Friendship, always happy to help with a smile.
RIP Berndt and condolences to Peter and family.

Dear Peter,
As you know, the next L Continental Coupe is just a ‘stone's throw away’ on the other side of the Baltic Sea. We would of course be delighted if there was an opportunity to help you and your brother complete the restoration.
In fond memory of your great father and one of our best friends.

Sad news indeed, Berndt was a lovely gentle man who kindly helped me find the right train travelling through Sweden a few years ago, after which we sporadically kept in touch. Thoughts with Peter and family#128532;
