My good lady and I spent the best part of three hours yesterday driving in the J2 on our local vintage car club Sunday picnic run. To better suit the ambience of the event I forsook my Apple Watch and buckled on my mechanical watch, a sixty-year-old, self-winding chronometer. I don’t wear it often and any time I do, it usually runs down over night. But three hours in the J2 has left it still running sitting on the bedside table as I write this, well over twelve hours longer than normal.

So if you want to give your self-winding watch a good workout, take it for a decent drive in your Triple-M car - you know it makes sense!

I've only just clocked that this is a wind up.

But you've got to hand it to him- on face value it does make sense.

Also - if you have a step counter on your phone or watch; a MMM will fool them as well. A good run around the roads (of Wiltshire at least) will get you 10k+ steps no problem. Keeps everyone happy!
