The caption of the database photo is: Staithe Road, Barton Staithe, Norwich, Norfolk.
At this link you can see all photos: https://www.triple-mregister.com/cardetails_pub1.php?chassisno=2M2205

The database has another photo of your car with competition number 105 and its caption is: D. B. Tubbs in the 1934 Brighton Beer Trial on Fingle Hill. Colin Adamson is the passenger. So in all likelihood, the picture in my post is from the same event. I don't remember how/where I got the photo with competition number 60. But the file name, on my computer, is: UT7942 (34 WASA Chilterns Trial).

Thank you Reinout. I had been aware of the WASA Chiltern Trials result, but it is the first time I had seen that photograph.

Interesting that the Bulge in the bonnet is clearly not there in the period around 1934.

The later photograph, of which I have the original was taken around 1954, and the owner at that time was Horace Colk, but I haven’t uncovered any details of his ownership. However the Bulge is clearly visible there.

It seems that UT7942 was not supercharged in the 30’s although the evidence I had that it may have been was anecdotal. Nevertheless the Bulge is an interesting addition by somebody, at some point and very well executed. These days it provides space for an oil catch tank and water catch tank!
