Better here than in my filing cabinet: Among old, unidentified photos given to me in 1963 was this MMM special, taken by a UK-stationed US Air Force officer, probably in the '50s.

Is this not a Lester MG - A Harry Lester L type special.

Your right Peter,was owned and raced by Philip Venables in the 70's/early 80's,think it is abroad now,Oliver

Stewart Penfound of the T Register is the expert on all things "Lester" and he tells me that HRO 33 was Harry Lester's second personal race car, designated HL/4. As Ollie says, it was restored and raced by Philip Venables in the 1970s and the current owner is Mr Tajima in Japan.

And what's the chassis number? I can't seem to find it in the current register, neither in Mr Tajima's name nor on the registration number.
