I have a number of photos of this car. The one with the female driver is dated 1954. The car is stated to have been used by H.S.Linfield of 'The Light Car' in 1930s trials.

RX 5971 was the Autocar road test car (9 May 1930), driven by Harold Sydney Linfield, (Editor of the Autocar. It was also photographed at Brooklands, with a flat windscreen, the 12/12 headlight configuration, and cycle mudguards.

Thanks, Mike. It seemingly fell on harder times.
Any news of it since 1954, or did it join the M-Type parts store?

Only details from the 1930's! Nothing since. Interesting that it was around in the 1950s. Do you have a chassis number? Pity to photo is not clearer with the dumb iron exposed!

Just half a dozen of the usual period snap-shots in b/w, I'm afraid, mostly showing the body being re-constructed. I will get the magnifying-glass out when I return, post-Beaulieu.
No longer DVLA listed.
