Interesting picture of C.K. at Brooklands after the 1931 Double 12. (Cannot remember where I found the picture!)
What is the car he is riding in? The registration number looks like "GO 53" - the 1931 Talbot 105 team car!
However, the very standard looking M type was entered in the race by C. Balme and driven by E. A. Pott and F. MacDonald, but who were they and what was the car?

I think it's more likely to be before the race rather than after, given that Messrs Pott and MacDonald look reasonably happy: according to The Autocar they were the first to retire on the Friday, with a seized engine.

Probably during (Thursday?) practice, given that it's obviously sunny.

No idea what that dog-cart is though. 1900-ish? Front wheels look far too spindly to be original though. Maybe the chaps at SVVS could help: http://www.svvs.org/help60.shtml
