I have this original photograph of an M type competing in the 1936 Scottish Rally. It is entrant number 99 and the driver is Leftenant Commander G.M.D. Maltby R.N. according to the information on the back of the photo. Does anyone know if the car still exists? The current owner is welcome to the photograph if it does!
Thanks Bob.

Hi Bob
What a lovely photo.
The car is chassis 2M1910, the Register number 814, and the latest printed Register shows the owner as being Ian Judd.
The car has hydraulic brakes and 4 speed gearbox.
I am sure Ian would love to have the photo! I do not have contact details but our Registrar Robin Hamblett may.

Wow that was quick, if someone can let me have Ian Judd's contact details I'll get in touch to see if he'd like me to send him the picture. Really glad the car survived! |

Bob,
I have sent you an email. I love the fact that it tells where it was taken.

It seems to have serious negative camber in the enlargement, or is that just an artifact arising form the scanning process.

I don't know how he could have achieved that as, as far as I know, that angle is not adjustable, but perhaps anything is possible if you wear a saucepan on your head!![](images/icon_smile_big.gif) Keith |

I'm pleased to say that thanks to the members of the MMM forum this original photgraph has now been reunited with the car. As I didn't want anything for the photograph Ian Judd who owns the car and now the photo has kindly said he'll make a donation to charity instead. Everyone's a winner! |
