Hello All,
This splendid picture was posted on facebook by a French lady, so initially I presumed it was a French car, but she said it came from the State Library of NSW and when I looked a bit closer, it could just as well - even more plausible perhaps - be an Australian registration number. It's got some strange features though, are we looking at an Aspinal bodied J2?

Cheers, Cat

Hi Cat, The photo is of John Sherwood (prior to the NEs) and his very successful J2 that was imported new to NSW and bodied locally. Unfortunately I don't know the chassis number or identity of the body builder. Cheers, Tim |

Love the low drag headlamp configuration - must have been worth and extra 10mph on top speed!

Not sure if you can help Nick, the A4 scans seem to have lost quality when uploaded? |

Interesting that although clearly a J2, body, no doubt Oz, is more P like, but for the front hinged doors.

Tim Send me your scans and I will see if I can improve the quality. The program reduces the size and resolution of the images to save space so if the original is not very clear that might be the answer Nick

This is the best I could do. The original is a scan of a printed document so isn't very sharp. If it is no better, I will delete it.
2nd attempt. Is that clearer? Nick
