Amongst the parts in the garage is the bonnet from PA 0711

This number is stamped on the stainless steel central hinge. I understand that PA 0711 is in the USA . Strange how these bits move around !

Regards,

Rod.

Hello Rod, Well, the car was in the US with the Gene Ponder collection but we believe it was sold form there a while ago. Does anyone know its current whereabouts?

The car was sold at auction several years ago, and despite my efforts, the auction company would not tell me to whom it was sold. The car is listed on the NAMMMR as owned by "unknown". Hopefully, the new owner will eventually tells who they are.

Well. For the record, it will be fitted to 1885.

Thanks Rod,

I think this may be the first picture of PA1885 in the Register's records!D'you have any more you could let us have please?

And, at the risk of inducing an avalanche, we would be grateful if owners were able to let us have pictures of their cars and the significant id features, such as :

- chassis number stamping on the chassis knuckle
- ditto on the bonnet hinge
- MG Car Company brass guarantee plate
- engine number
- gearbox number,

along with any other info that you'd like to share with us for secure retention on the Register's database of cars.

Contributions to richard dot morbey at gmail dot com will be gratefully received!

Thanks.
