Way back in the 1960s I helped afriend restore an mg J/p type but the engine we believed was a VA it was eventually sold to America sorry no chassis No but I am fairly sure the English reg was GR 147 just wondered if the chassis No was on file and if the car still exists. Terry W.

Hello Terry

GR 147 is/was a J2. Chassis No. J3195. Sadly it is not known to have survived. Originally blue with blue trim. Built in April 1933 the car's first owner lived in Sunderland

Do you have any pictures of the car from those times?

Nothing in the files of MBH, just note of a Mr Wilson as owner in S****horpe (Nov 36).

we cannot find any pictures as yet it did have 12 inch brakes that's why Iwondered about the p type but it did come in tea chests S****horpe is not very far from Doncaster,thanks for the info it may turn up one day Terry.
