Can anyone offer advice, I do not have any charging output from my 3 brush dynamo, I have changed , and checked the brushes ,if I disconnect both the D and F connections directly on the dynamo and short the 2 together and connect a meter to d and earth I still do not get any reading,(running the engine at 1000 rpm ) my conclusion is that the field coils are faulty, would you agree ? assuming the dynamo is not full of oil !
Rob, Try removing the dynamo and connecting it to the battery - if it is OK it will run as a motor. (join the dynamo terminals connect to one side of the battery - other side to the case)
If it is u/s go to woodauto.com. They will rcondition your dynamo for about ú100.
