I am in need of a short flex line as seen on many P-Types (and some J2s). This is the fuel line from pump to rear carb and looks to be somewhere between 9 to 12 inches long. Is this an off-the-shelf item or must it be custom made (by whom?) See pic of Reed Tarwater's PB.
Thanks, PeTe

Yes, I know - but they are 16 and 18 inches long. I’m looking for something much shorter, and in 1/2” OD.
Thanks, Pete |

Hi Pete, what problem you have? Look for the next hydraulic shop, these boys make you a hose for your required lenght.

Thank you Carl and TH. Will pursue Stevson Motors. Hydraulic shops are a bit thin on the ground where I live!

Call Moss Motors in California and tell them what length you are looking for. I bet they have one that will work that is correct for another car (MGA I bet ?). |

Got it! From Brown & Gammons - MGA as Whitworth suggested. Thanks for all the input. PeTe

anyone know a source ( or have a spare) for the chrome fuel line running from the reserve/main tap to the fuel pump as shown in Tete's photo?

Make it, Mike. Two 1/4" BSP female fittings and a short section of copper pipe. Then have it plated.

Hi Pete, There are many sources of these flexible pipes but if you are unable to get one locally possibly the best for you is Burlen Services aka The S.U. Company. www.burlen.co.uk e-mail info@burlen.co.uk tel (0)1722 412500. All they will need is your end to end dimention, connection size (usually 1/4"B.S.P) straight or 90 deg. There is a great catalogue on line.
They may not be the cheapest but they know exactly what they are talking about and will ship anywhere.
Regards Roger
