Does anyone actually use an SU Petrolift or are they simply too unreliable and too complicated to repair? Do they only keep up appearances on the bulkhead while a better concealed pump does the work ? I have just bought one...hence the questions.
Sam, Mine appeared to be complete and in reasonably good condition but they had a rather poor reputation and I did not attempt to get it working (they can be made to work but reliabilty is my main issue these days!). I have a small electronic pump mounted at the rear of the chassis which can just be heard until the engine starts and rubber fuel hoses inside the Petrolift so it looks original.
