A friend of mine made this model for me in 1994 when I owned an m type. We worked for British Rail and he made them from scrap pieces of wood.

Jim, what a fabulous thing. Do you still have it adorning your patio? I bet there is not another one of those. Your friend must have had a real love of wood to have spent the time creating it.I love the way he has got the grain following through from the bonnet, across the scuttle and onto the doors. Thanks for posting this unusual piece.

Yes he's a very talented lad. He also made a model of an Austin 7 Box Saloon and a Trojan van for me. Some of my most treasured possessions.
