This must be either S H Richardson or the Bone Brothers.

The picture reminds me of what Richardson's yard used to look like when I bought my first PA - chassis 1248 - in 1958/9!!! The car survives in single seat format with XPAG engine/gearbox and TC axles "The Bonda Primer" special.

The car with Registration CGP 908 is recorded in the Register as being F0700 - the radiator is not correct. The car nearest the camera is also either an F or an L type.

My money would be on the Bones at Greenwich and indeed, if you scroll through their catalogue as linked by Rich there, towards the end, is this photo.

Your correct Dave I took all the photographs for the Bones there are a lot of them. I can post them bit by bit if there is interest.

George mentions the "Bonda Primer Special" a car that I remember racing with back in the early 70's. I always presumed that the name indicated a paint primer current at the time and a paint that was never finished. Happy days when the rivet counters had less sway in those pre OC days ( Originality Correctness).
Only a joke honestly!

"The car nearest the camera is also either an F or an L type."

Chris, I know I have at least one Bone catalogue. It may be the one Rich linked to but if not, if I find it would Nick be interested?

Adrian and Forum:

What great photos. So rare to see unrestored cars in this number.
Would love to see them all .
While the catalog photos are on MMM forum. The detail is lost in the copying process.
Is there any way to restore the detail, please.
All the best.

Hi Cat

Just testing. With those front wings it is an L type, pity the Registration number is partly hidden. The Bones certainly had a few L2s through their hands, I wonder if this is one of them?

I also have a copy of the Bone catalogue which I could copy?

These cars were part of the Bone Brothers collection of early MGs and were on offer at auction back in March 1974.
BPC479 was L0616 described as a two door drop head coupe by abbey coach works guide price £700.
CGP908 was indeed F0700 with a Jarvis body guide price£700.
The car at the back looks to be 1930 18/80 MkII tourer, chassis AO434 Reg No MG993 according to the auction catalogue, Guide price £900.
Other cars included L Magna four seater LVW863, 18/80 Mk1 saloon Reg WL6144,J1 tourer Reg OY4026,L Magna Salonette Reg ALE853, L Magna drop head coupe by Abbey Reg BPC479 and KN saloon CPX128.

The one next to CGP908 looks as if it could be the J1 tourer or possibly a D type. The one between this and the 18/80 doesn't look like an MG, at least the windscreen pillars don't.
I wonder how many of these cars have survived.
Cheers,
Mike.
