Do we have amongst us any members who are experts with knowledge of electrical motors, reversing switches and their different connections ? Need some help on the best way of resolving a connection issue.

Better explain this is not a car issue but to do with connecting an electric motor on a lathe to a forward/off/reverse switch. Really need advice from someone with a background in the installation or repair overhaul etc of electric motors.Thanks
