Thanks Simon.
We have absolutely no info on KN0328 apart from the fact it started life as a pillarless saloon - pity yet another one which has been rebuilt in the style of a K3.
Up to this point we did not know the car had survived.

Given its provenance, can we be sure that it has? ![](images/icon_smile_cool.gif)

Guys
Is it interesting that the engine number is quoted to be 567 AKN, which the 2022 Register records to be the engine in KN0322, a KN saloon with Register number 1991?

Guys
If it is the same car then some detailing has taken place. Look at the armoured sheath over the sidelight cables on the Bonhams car versus the open cables and white cable tie on the car referred to in the link in Simon's post.
Also the front shock arms are different.
And the SU dashpot sits differently in the tower in the front valance.

Tim

It’s also interesting to note that the car is now apparently claimed to be KN0328 whereas when last offered for sale it was described thus: “this Peter Gregory built car was constructed with incredible attention to detail by the renowned builder using original chassis number KN328 as a basis for the car.”

Is it just me possibly who thinks this recreation looks broken backed. The scuttle height to me looks way too high and makes the car look stumpy.

The Bonham's description says "replica chassis number KNO328". So not an actual MG made chassis? |

Or is it matter of poor punctuation?
Should "1935 MG Magnette K3 Replica Chassis no. KN0328 Engine no. 567A150KN" have a comma between "Replica" and "Chassis"? and another comma between "KN0328" and "Engine"? or perhaps not?
And surely the engine number should be 567 AKN 150? where the 150 represents the engine type?
Puzzling
Regards
Tim

As the previous vendor said in his brochure “built using original chassis number KN328 as a basis for the car”. This would seem to suggest that the chassis didn’t originate in Abingdon.

Simon, could that quote also be missing a comma or two, thus: "built using original chassis, number KN328, as a basis for the car". Another case of "Eats, shoots, and leaves". I really wish people would pay more attention to punctuation, and particularly to the humble comma.

You could be right, Colin, although the phrase “as a basis for the car” might suggest otherwise.
I fully agree with you about commas and don’t get me started on apostrophes!
