I notice there is an advert in the latest issue of Classic Cars magazine concerning an offer of a collection of memorabilia associated with record breaker Goldie Gardner. The auctioneer is Hansons and the items are offered from the family collection.

It would be great if the Register was able to make some bids?

Could you post a picture of the advert as I can’t find anything on Hansons website. There was a sale in August of memorabilia of the late Major Peter Gardner - not the same chap at all!

I have had a quick look and not found the memorabilia but they do have quite a few auctions coming up. I have sent a message to the autcioneers to ask for a date/venue.

Hi George, please post a photo of the Classic cars ad, I like Simon can't find it on hanson's extensive auctions listings.

Steve Fulford at Hansons says they have no Goldie Gardner items in any of their upcoming auctions, nor is there any in the plethora of auctions listed on the-saleroom.com

I have today heard back from Hansons who have stated they do not have the Goldie Gardner items.

Obviously the note in the Classic Cars magazine was wrong. It would be good to know which auction house has the memorabilia.
