Can anyone recommend a manufacturer who can make me a single buckle brown leather bonnet strap same as one you can just see in the attached pic of my old J3 dash.

Hi Terry

I got mine from Gregorys Autoparts, although it is a twin buckle one. He may provide a single buckle one but a local saddlers should eb able to make one to measure.

Harness work is his speciality but he has made some lovelly straps for my friends Veteran. Bonnet straps have same buckles as stirrup leathers,and he's not too far from you.

Next question is where can one get the little metal fixtures to attach said ends of the straps to the actual car? ie the ones which go through the little loops and attach below the bonnets...

I took mine off and typically the fairies have taken them....
