Without bias I wondered if anyone could provide support to whom the best insurance cover we can get for our laid-up cars i.e. rolling chassis and no as yet registration number etc?

I would try Hagerty International (they specialise in vintage / classic cars only) ask for Marcus Atkinson on 0870 042 0220.

I've just covered my M type for fire and theft only for about 25 quid through Richardson Hoskins who provide the Austin 7 Clubs Association scheme. 01277 206912

and that extends to your modern - I saved around £100 by transferring to them - their insurance include European breakdown, which I was already paying extra for, plus the basic premium was less to start with...

Thanks for all the responses recently. However, I did end up going with Adrian Flux which has proved an excellent deal. Insured 3 cars separately, with agreed valuation (£11- £15 each), fully comprehensive, limited mileage of 1,500 (because they are layed up) for just £63 each p.a.
