My M Type, M3278, has the "angular" style mudguards that are the same as those fitted to the M Type Sportsmans Coupe. See the photo of my car at http://www.triple-mregister.org/pictures_members2.asp. I am wondering at what stage in the production of the M Type this style of mudgurad was adopted by the factory or whether the fitment of these guards was an owner ititiated mod? Maybe some keen follower of the marque can throw some light on this for me. |

Robin, according to The List of Spare Parts for The 8/33 M.G. Midget Sports Series 'M', August 1934, p. 21: Part No. 242/243 Front Wing (Round Type) ceased Ch. 2703, Part No. 321/324 Front Wing (V Type) comm. 2-Str. Ch. 2704. Regards Karl |
