On the cover of the February 2011 Bulletin there is a very interesting logo referred to the 50th Anniversary. Is there any plan to produce & sell for the occasion a special badge for Triple-M cars? I think that many would be interested in. I'm. Best regard to all Francesco |

I see that no answer has yet been posted to your enquiry.
As far as I know there are no plans to produce a metal or enamel badge. However, it is possible that a small self-adhesive plastic badge may be made that could be affixed to the inside of a windscreen.
Best wishes Dick |

I have no idea if something is included in the pack for those that can do the 50th events, but it would be a shame not to mark the event with some form of badge, even if only a vinyl sticker. I don't know that a poll can be run on this forum, but a list could be made...

I agree with Morisani & Mr Snake but think a sticker a little on the cheap side. ![](images/icon_smile_dead.gif) Come on, 50 years of the register noted with plastic!!!!! I am certain people would pay the same going rate as the main car club anniversary badges. The MGA register did a very nice pin which sold out and became a collectors item….. lets celebrate in style!!!!... Terry A |

I'm with Terry here, I would be happy paying more for a proper commemorative badge to show on our cars. I am sure many others would also want one.
A vinyl sticker or transfer can really only go on the windscreen and if that cracks or breaks then it's goodbye to the badge.

Terry, I am not sure what you mean by,'the main car club anniversary badges' but if they are enamel/metal pin badges were are having these made with the 50th Anniversary logo on them.
Fred, if you are referring to enamel car badges we have costed them out and due to the origination cost and the number likely to be sold we have decided not to do them. The initial cost of 50 (min order) would be in the regon of £1500 and 100 £2100.
We would like to receive other suggestions as to what else should be produced.

Peter,
£21.00 would be a reasonable price for a good enamel car badge. What about asking people to commit to buying one and if 100 of us reserve one then it would be worth going ahead.
I would certainly commit myself to buying one.
Only 99 more commitments required.

Hi Peter, With the best interest of the Register at heart I wrote the original post. The Main club badges I was referring to were the ones I had for 60 years and 70 years of the MGCC. The 60 years one around £20 and limited as was the 70 years at around £25.
There are around say 3000 cars on the register, so I am certain that others would have them even if limited to 100. At £25 or a little more each there is something for the register funds as well. If we are talking about pre-ordering and prepayment if required before the register goes ahead I would be happy with that too.
I will have three, one for each Triple-M I will have, as I am in the process of selling one of my cars.
So let’s really celebrate 50 years of the Register…![](images/icon_smile.gif) .
Are there any dissenters???? Regards Terry

Yes, we must have a permanent badge to celebrate our 50th. I'm in for two. Only 89 left chaps.
