I know questions like this appear from time and usually lead nowhere but -
I have been trying to trace the history of an M-type, chassis 2M 1168 Engine Number 924A, which was once owned by an engineer named Derek Power (sadly deceased) who it seems bought it and a second chassis from somebody on the Isle of Wight perhaps 20 years ago.
As you can imagine, since I now own the car rebuilt on chassis 2M 1168, I would be keen to discover any fragments of its history especially the original registration number.
Has anyone any recollections of Derek Power or have any clues or suggestions which might help?
The chassis file has told me the name of the first owner in London in 1930 but I know nothing after that.
Since I have bought D0495 from the widow of Derek I might be able to help a little. I have some pictures from the lot he bought from the isle and my engine might have come from there. If you send me an email I'll see what I can find and I'll ask Jane (Derek's widow) if she remebers anything
