Hello,
Is anyone able to take a photo of the very bottom of the rear wings on a 4 Seater P Type, right at the back for me please so I know what shape they should be ?
It's the bit that normally gets worn away !
Many Thanks Paul

Hello Paul,
You could give Bryan Ditchman a call. He has done much research into what the 4 seater bodies look like and should be able to help. He is rebuilding the works PB demonstrator. His telephone is 01189 326346, but no email.

Brian,
I'm not sure the wings on that green car are quite right - purely based on this photo.

Page 31 of the "M.G. Road Cars" Volume One shows a good picture of the rear of a 4-seater P type - sorry my scanner's off-line at the moment.

Thank you Brian, that would be very helpful.
Eric - I don't unfortunately have a copy of MG Road Cars, so if your scanner works again......!!

Hi again Paul,
If you can find a copy of "MG Sports cars" compiled by Peter Garnier from the archives of Autocar (!) there is a great A3 sized line drawing of a 4 seater P type on pages 84/85. Unfortunatley my scanner is only A4 so can't get the image scanned!
If I can find any others, I'll scan and post!
Regards

Hi, If you do a search on Amazon.co.uk for Peter Garnier's book, there are a few at a penny each plus postage!

Thank you everyone.
Glenn, That's a good photo - gives the top view shape. Is that the page from "MG Road Cars" ?
I could do with a side view to see how far below the body they go now !
Cheers Paul |
