No. I'd would say you are well adrift in your perspective.
I'm quite happy to strike up a dialogue, off forum.
The salient point was, that the club listened and reacted to how the cars and owners could benefit.
(Would you rather be in a situation where your "Abingdon" was closed down, or have a club that financially controlled its own destiny?)

Neil, there should be a good brace of cars and knowledgable owners at Prescott. Good browsing and Nattering!

Unless I've completely misunderstood (possible) it appears that I you are now on a crusade to get the MGCC / Triple M Register to adopt some of the principles of The MG Owners "Club"? Oh dear.
