Has anyone experience of using a low trolley with a jacking system either under the axle or around the tyres? Allan |

Hi Allan
I saw some photos of the rebuild of the L2 owned by David Stansby, it may have been in Safety Fast which featured a series of articles on the rebuild, where the wheels each had small plates with casters. It looked as if these would make the car easy to move around.
I do not know where the "coasters" came from but you could contact David via this Forum.

You can also get them from Tesco, Sainsbury, B&Q etc but you need to do it at night. Some cutting and welding required.![](images/icon_smile_big.gif)

My daughter works at Tesco head office but not at night! I have the welding kit. Your solution looks simple must work on this one. Allan |

Been away on holiday,so I am now catching up on the Forum.
A couple of years ago I made 4 car dollies one of which hopefully will appear here in glorious Technicolor. They are made from thick plank, some spare Dexion ,surplus paint and 4 castors on each from Machine Mart. Total cost was about £40,mainly the castors. One on each dolly is a braked castor, but in practice is not strictly necessary.
My garage/workshop is best utilized by having my Austin 7 and the J2 at right angles to each other. A car on all 4 dollies can easily be moved by myself and in many cases the dollies on the front wheels only will be enough. The height of the dollies is often sufficient to allow working underneath, and then I do use the castor brakes.
I had a look at Machine Marts own dollies but, cost aside, they are dished and do not raise the car more than an inch or two off the ground.
