The maximum width of a C-type body. Just the body not including wings etc.
The amount the pointed tail sticks out past the rear chasis tube.
These dimensions would be verry helpfull, preferable in metric units as I am one of those foolish young european boys who has not had the benifit of the imperial doctrination from childhood
D0495 will mostlikely be a 4 seater once again. But it might take a few decades!
Enjoying several good events in which a certain Orange P did rather well has sparked my inner dicussion " what do I want to do with a triple M?" And in the end I could only answer with " go racing!" So all 4 seater specific parts will get stored. For now she will get to wear a light weight pointed tail 1 1/2 seat racing body. And when I am older and lost the racing bug it can be replaced with the 4 seater body to enjoy on the road.
I want her to look lighter and more narrow than a C. The mock-up body is now 80cm wide and sticks out about 40. So width wise it's fine but she may get a bit longer
Hi Onno, assume you are on a diet.......I fit a standard C body ok....they are narrower than J2.....you want a snug but not tight fit as some upholstery ( on you and the car) will make things comfortable.....but go for it! Foz
My wife and I have trial fitted the car and with these dimensions we fit side by side. Upholstery will be minimal and it will be a bit more spartan than a C... I am taking inspiration from a std C the Horton C and a certain P special to make up my own D special.
And I indeed hope to have lost a few pounds when she will be finished as adding lightness is the way to go
