Bonhams charge 15% + VAT on vehicles with 'Automobilia' at 25% + VAT, according to the catalogue for their November 2nd. sale.

That's correct Bob, just called them. Cars, 15% upto 50K hammer price, then 12% for anything over the 50K, Automobilia 25%
of course all + VAT. |

Forgive my ignorance, never having bought at auction I presume the VAT is only payable on the buyers premium?

I received a rather glossy flyer for the Bonhams Harrogate Auction,with the J2/4 as the front cover.
While it stated the final call for entries as 14 November 2012,nowhere did it mention the actual date of the Auction!
