I have just aquired a J2 1933 cycle wing model. The car is dismantled and I am going to put it back together. I am a retired chartered engineer and have been restoring all sorts of vehicles as an amateur hobbyist since the age of twelve, starting with my bicycle ! I currently own six classics, all restored by me, and I am currently working on another three, I also own a ' barn find ' 1935 Rover 10hp saloon. My restorations include an E-type Roadster, Rover Saloon & Coupe, MGB ( for the wife )and a couple of early Rover P1s and a P2 Coupe![](images/icon_smile.gif) . I look forward the forum. Merry Christmas and an exciting New Year.

Hi Chris welcome to the forum sounds that you will get on with the j2 just fine. Any problems put it on this forum and there loads of people who can help and advise you. Does the club know of the existence of your j2? Could be a new one on the register. |

Hello Chris and welcome from me too!
There are plenty of Triple-M owners in your neck of the woods and I am sure they would wish to offer you guidance or assistance if ever you need it.
Have you registered the car with the Triple-M Register yet? If not,we'd be very gratefulif you could please do so - it is a very effective means of maintaining the continuous history of your car. Robin Hamblett our Registrar will be happy to be contacted about this - see http://www.triple-mregister.org/contacts.asp to contact him or others of us on the Committee and registration can be done via http://www.triple-mregister.org/registerlogin.asp
If you'd like to be put in touch with other local owners, please let us know.
Good luck!

Welcome to the forum. Impressive collection of cars that you've tended to. It should be interesting hearing your comments from an "engineer's" point of view. My car is a cycle wing, Chassis J3026. Many people have the daily production lists. This way you can find your car's Abingdon birthday, not just it's registered date. |

Thanks for the information. The car is overseas, albeit still with a UK registration and I will be repatriating next year. I am a stickler for getting things ' right ' so I would be glad for all the help I can get. I am sure that the car is known to you as the owner has paperwork / books etc which prove this. More details later.

Chris. You'll have plenty of friends here if you've flown a Spit. We keep bringing them up in different threads. I've just mentioned them in the Chemical Reaction post. I'm afraid the user name relates to the Triumph variety as my J2 was bought with a Spitfire engine. |

Chris - I suspect the problem is due to the "at" symbol in your username as you used your email address. I will contact you off-line. Nick Webmaster |

Chris, the RR V12 plus supercharger might sit on the chassis.,, How much "wheel camber" do you want??! Might have to upholster the battery box to sit on. |

Hi Chris
Welcome to the Forum and Triple-M world from me also.
I have looked at the 2012 printed Triple-M Register which does not list J2353. As Dick has pointed out we would like you to notify our Registrar Robin Hamblett you are the new owner. Robin may have some information on the car.
You can also obtain, for a small fee, a copy of the factory file from the MG Car Club in Abingdon, John Innes is the person to contact.
Best regards
