My daughter gave me this lovely MG 'Wings' badge as a Christmas present. As you can see it is a copy of the badges made for the MG drivers and mechanics in the 1930s and I gather it was perhaps made in Australia. Does anyone know the background to these reproductions? It's certainly very nicely made and I'm curious to know more about it.

Thanks, Alan. In fact That's who my daughter bought it from and I've already dropped them a line to see what they know. But I thought i'd check and see if any of our Antipodean friends had any knowledge of it.

Thanks, everyone. In fact it would seem that the folks who undertook the design of the Pre War register badge then went on to make the 'Wings' badge which they'd incorporated into the Register badge, the car version of which is somewhat different to the lapel badge Ross has shown.
