FYI, we have restored 3 L1's, all of which have the adjustable hinges on the passenger side seat bottoms only.

The driver's side adjusting plates were welded to the seat bottom sheet metal, and both sides had stud plates screwed to the floorboards allowing the seats to be attached where needed - most likely in the furthest position back!!
