Ah

Sorry to hear Bill Body has died. My Pa met him during the war when he was the owner of a car my Pa had actually built and which was based on a Gwynne 8. He styled it as an LG8 and If anyone comes across it, a pretty little 2 seater with swept wings BMG276, do let me know.

LG8 = Lansdown Gwynne 8. I have the casting pattern he used for the water cover with LG 8 on it and the original Gwynne radiator badge. I think the car was still going in Manchester in the 50s...

Pa sold it to get the K Type, JB854, and if anyone finds that please let me know. There are rumours it still exists...

I am also sorry to note Bill Body has died.

The Registration JB854 does not appear in the 2012 printed Register.

Bill Boddy died in July 2011. His motoring library and other items are being auctioned by Transport Collector Auctions on the 22nd June in Reading.
