I have read where a larger bonnet can be cut down to a smaller size. Has anyone ever had a T-type bonnet shortened and narrowed to fit a PA?

Hi Glenn

I think it would be very difficult to make a T bonnet fit a P type. The dimensions are all different including the radiator which is much smaller than on the T.

thanks George. You are probably correct, but I know I read somewhere that someone did this. My recent purchase was for a PA rolling chassis with cowl, firewall, tire carrier and front splash apron -- not much more (no tub, doors, fuel tank or fenders.) I plan to build a special boat-tail with cycle fenders. I may only use bonnet tops; that would make it easier to fabricate (or re-fAb) the bonnet.
