I note this famous car is advertised for sale on the www.prewarcar.com web site.

The car would certainly be welcomed on any Triple-M grid!

David,

You should be able to edit your posting, it is deleting it that is time sensitive.

Peter,
I might be doing something wrong, but I get a message that says I only have 30 mins to edit, and it has been like that for some time now
A little annoying as in the cold light of day editing a posting is quite appealing, but it seems we need to bring in Nick to effect a change.
FAQ says :- but is it still correct?

Ahem.... I seem to remember building the engine and gearbox. Does that count?

I think its fair to say that without Ollie's input the project might not have come to fruition. The car is definitely quick and with a decent driver I think had further potential.

I had huge fun with it and it was a very satisfying project which absorbed a lot of my time over many years.

I'd love to see it racing.

In my experience you cannot edit a post after 30 mins of posting. Nick explained the reasoning for the introduction of this rule, which was entirely logical.

I have watched both Andrew Bradshaw and Ian Seymour-Smith compete in this car and they both produced impressive results, being faster than many blown cars.

David,

Peter S. is correct, I had forgotten the system had been changed recently for a good reason.

Has not an earlier post been deleted? Deleting it has altered the thread.

If it has not been deleted it has been edited, either way it has altered the topic.

My apologies, I should have updated the FAQs. You can only edit your own posts on the General and Technical forums up to 30 minutes from the time of their creation. There is no time limit (at present) for the other forums.
I have updated the FAQs.

I cannot say that it did not cross my mind. No room in the stable I'm afraid George.
