This is really a follow on to Spencer's posting on M Type bell housing oil leaks but I thaught a new topic may be useful. I have recently fitted a lip seal to the input shaft of my four speed box. Bearing Services were able to sell me a 40 m/m internal by 47 m/m external seal. The cover can be turned out to 47 m/m with plenty of "meat" remaining and if you take the reverse thread off the large input shaft nut it will be just right for the 40 m/m. You will need to form a new groove for the wire circlip though. Bearing Services were also able to provide the small caged rollers that fit between the input and output shafts and in the lay shaft. The seal was £3.50 and the bearings £3.65 each.

Cheers
