Update on ' Poppet ' the MGJ2 cycle wing that arrived in Liverpool Docks before Christmas from Cyprus.
I had a phone call from the carriers that the dismantled parts were due to be delivered this tuesday just gone. Having cleared my garage for the exciting arrival..champagne etc...they did'nt turn up. Phone call next day revealed that the driver was running out of time and headed back to Liverpool with ' Poppet ' still on board. My wife commented ' hope its not in Rumania '...the carriers confirmed that it was'nt. At least one must be thankful for that !!

The real point is whether the carrier's base is at the time limit of driving to your address and what other deliveries have to be made. I had an instance where furniture from overseas took many attempts to reach us before the driver ran out of time because of H & S!!

...not at the moment, worrying thing at the time was the chap I was talking to seemed to have a Polish accent...turns out he is from Newcastle...oh well..having lived in the south most of my life !!

Got out the champagne...' Poppet ' arrived today and has been stacked very neatly at the rear of my garage. Cheers !!
