Mike Allison has also gone through all of the P and N chassis files at Abingdon during recent months, so he might well have some useful input to this enquiry. Unfortunately, he was not at Mattingley last week, and I understand that he is currently "under the weather". Get well soon Mike.

OK, the chassis files reveal some useful info and a possible further clue ....
Starting with PA1702 .. A 2-seater PA Engine No. 1964AP Registration No. AXJ 178
Body colour not readable but probably red Upholstery red Wheels aluminium
Supplied by J Cockshoot & Co. Ltd to the first owner:
Mr I Woolf 53 Brooklands Road Higher Crumpsall Manchester 8
Delivered 7/11/1934
Service record under Mr Woolf's ownership and correspondence continues until 1936.

The record of PB 465 is very much sparser.
An 'open 4-seater PB' Engine No. 733APB Registration No. Not stated
Body colour Blue Upholstery Blue Wheels aluminium
Supplied by Cresta Motor Company Ltd, Broadwater Road, Worthing to the first owner:
Mr Alan N Stansfield Flat 9, 37 Sussex Square, Brighton 7
Delivered 16/11/1935 Annotated 'U.M. Ltd Gruar 6 months.'
UM is undoubtedly University Motors which may point to the possibility of this car having an MG XXXX registration number ...

All very interesting, but I thought we were looking to confirm (if in fact it ever needed confirmation) that PA1902 was originally TJ 9045? |

And if it was originally a 2 seater...
Just perhaps... it now carries the 4 seat body from PB465...
Were they ever in the same ownership?
Cheers

Yes, they were. Richard Goord is listed as a previous owner of both chassis.

I note the online bidding for PA1902 has now ended at $30,651.00 approximately £18,433.47
A bargain for somebody?
