Hi,

I would welcome any advice on where I might obtain a supercharger/blower (not sure what the correct name is) for my PA, which has a PB engine. I would like it to fit inside the engine compartment, rather than the standard front mounted version. If anybody knows where I can obtain one that would be much appreciated, along with any general advice on fitting etc.

Hi Keith

I think Trevor Chinn specialised in manufacturing/supplying/repairing superchargers, he used to advertise in the VSCC Bulletin but has not done so recently.

John Bibby used to work on superchargers but he seems to have disappeared from the scene?

Another person who supplies supercharger parts/kits is Andy King, see his adverts in Safety Fast magazine.

George,

Do you not mean Derek Chinn?

As always with this Forum the quality of the advice both on screen and sent direct is excellent. I have made the decision to fit a blower and found a suitable A75 so am looking forward to a winter / spring project. Many thanks to you all.

Keith Hi
All very interesting with the comments. I am unsure what an A 75 is if you or someone could explain please. I Have been looking for a Volumex out here in NZ but no luck at present? Is the A for "Assin"
S Charger.Would be interested to see the final out come.
Cheers from down under NZ Ian

Ian, Not sure what the 'A' stands for but the unit is a Marshal 75 similar to the one in the photo above. I say similar as I have not seen it yet!! My understanding and others will be able to comment more, is that a Volumex is too large to go under the bonnet and is normally fitted on the front.

Happy hunting
