Dear All,

Many of you will already be aware that Barry crashed The Rat at Angouleme this past weekend.

I have provided the latest update on the thread headed 'Angouleme' which is in this section.

The important points are that Barry is OK and is up and about. But he has an injured shoulder, which is currently being checked in hospital, and a lot of bad scrapes and bruises. The Rat is in similar condition...

He now needs rest and both he and Maisie need some peace and quiet, both of them having had a traumatic and sleepless last few days. I know Barry will appreciate your good wishes and I am sure cards and messages will be well received. But if you could all resist the temptation to ring him, I think that will be the best help you can give right now.

I will update as required.

Hi all,
great weekend ended when taken out by a back marker not using his mirror! Rat ended up inverted and took a bite out of my shoulder. French hospital patched me up ...Dave Brown and VSCC friends got me back to UK... with tatty Rodent in tow! Spent most of day at NHS service station .... back again in the morning..... decisions on surgery/treatment/scrappage to be made by specialists there. Replies to emails may be slow....etc...
Many thanks to all that have assisted so far.
Apologies to those waiting for stuff...

Well, there you go! He's irrepressible despite everything... There I am asking you all to give him time and space and he pops up to tell you that he's barely scratched!

Seriously, he's looking pretty good, considering. But Doctor H still suggests that a quiet few days wont do him any harm.

Thanks to all for being brilliant about my earlier request for a bit of time and space.

Good to hear you're back in the Mother Country FOZZZ and headed to the body shop again. Hope you get through this with no reproduction bits.

Good luck!
