Anyone know who built this?
And why does it have a rather strange exhaust system (compared to the period picture)??

And it has much similarity to the standard R-type system, except for the fish-tails, which here are vertically instead of horizontal.

It says that it's based on a P type, but isn't the only thing in common the engine? Q's had N type axels and a different chassis didn't they?

Stumbled on this on U tube, Didnt realise the chasis had started out as Tom Darks Single seater special before it was rebuilt on the QA0254 chasis.

146 mph from a 750 MG. Hmmmm. The fastest a 2 litre Zoller blown E type ERA has been timed down the Lavent straight was 149(Duncan Ricketts) Most of the 2 litre B types do 140- 145.

My Speedo stops at 70mph, otherwise I would have had a crack at 150 on Saturday!
