My wife, Julia, was given this picture recently to show me "as I liked M.G.s" I copied it and gave it back as it was a picture of her father. I'm sure one of you experts will be able to tell me what the is, Triple-M P type or T type. Obviously taken during the war due to the headlight deflectors. I'm just interested to be able to tell Julia's friend.

It's a PA, but sadly no sign of that number in the Register or factory files; a name might help link it to chassis number,

Thanks Graham, the lady's name is Lavinia but we don't know her maiden name. We'll ask next time we see her.

Graham, John.
I notice that Lou Louchios' Airline Coupe PA 1811 has MG 3084 as it's registration.
Would you be able to narrow down the search in the Factory Files around that chassis number?
Great photo, John. Thanks for posting. The inscription I presume reads "Do you recognize your loving son "Shorty". ??
Brian.

I don't have access to the actual files, you would have to go through them page by page - but other people have done this before me and as the number is not listed in any of our documents I can only assume it isn't recorded.

Julia bumped into Lavinia this morning at a boot fair, all she could add was that her dad's name was Ernest Zeitlin and he was known as "Shorty" !
The name being unusual may help.
