I have three greeting card pictures showing MMM MGs in my garage. 1, Sky blue J2 registration CN? 571, The ? is possibly U. 2, Green PA JW 4625. 3, Red F? VV 294. I would be interested to know if these model and number combinations are real or fictitious and if they still exist? Sorry but I can't attach photos.

I have a number such although cannot at present find them. This one is rather charming and I have labelled it "An L2 picnic" but am unsure if that is what it was really called; probably not.
The number looks very believable as it just about has to be a "B" behind the bit of grass. Is it for real?

Dave. It is apparently “The Four of Us”. A picnic in the English countryside in the 1930’s with an MG L2 Magna. By Alan Fearnley. |

Hello Maurice,
JW 4625 may be PA0271. The others don't tally with known cars.

I had lunch at Brooklands the other day and in the shop they had a card with a red J2 on it I didn't notice the number though, but I'll have a look on Sunday DV WP.

Another rather nice one; "A Brief Stop" by Don Breckon.

DVLA lists MG 1865 as a red 1250cc MG first registered in September '32 and that is taxed.

Triple-M records show that MG 1865 was originally issued to a red J2.

So, they probably got the date of first registration right and she's still red. Could someone have fitted an XPAG?
Artistic licence makes a nice painting of a PA though!

For my recent 70th birthday, Angela Bird sent this from Cyprus. For those who do not know, Angela is the previous owner of our two MGJ2s, now a very dear friend.

Not a greeting card, but I found this at a gift shop somewhere. The white spots are a reflection. It is a painted ceramic plaque about 12 X 18 inches.
