Sad looking remains of L0375 in Hampson Auctions sale At the Gold Cup at the end of July.

I'm sure someone will be able to post a link. Not much original left by the look of it!

Converting that to a two-seater would be the least of your worries!

With those wheels fitted I have some doubts about the heritage of those axles

I suspect that you are correct to doubt them along with the brakes ......

The current owner contacted me some weeks ago and at my request he submitted photos, including some of the chassis stampings, which confirm the identity.

Apparently the car had been in a dilapidated garage since the 1960s! The person who is now advertising it for sale was conducting a house clearance following the death of the owner and made an offer which was accepted.

Whoever buys the car faces a real challenge.

I notice the log book has the wrong chassis number - L0378 instead of L0375 - although the reg number - DG 7319 - is correct for L0375.

Hi Simon - I had already advised the owner the chassis number on the Log book is wrong and the correct number is L0375.

I agree with Nick, the engine could be Austin with matching gearbox. Perhaps the axles and wheels are also Austin?

The wiring looks interesting!

The separate gearbox in images 49/50 looks to be late 1950's Triumph.

Looks like bare chassis value plus the rad but the seller may possibly have higher aspirations. Deffinalely a Triumph 2 litre from what I can make out.
